THE GOLDFINGER GIRLS
Shirley Eaton Achieved Most Recognition For Her Performance As Jill Masterson In The 1964 James Bond Film Goldfinger. She Appeared On The Cover Of Life Magazine In Her Gold-Painted Persona. Her Character’s Death, Being Painted Head To Toe In Gold Paint And Suffering “Skin Suffocation” Led To An Urban Myth That Eaton Had Died During Filming
Honor Blackman Achieved Most Recognition For Her Performance As Pussy Galore And Her Flying Circus In The 1964 James Bond Film Goldfinger. During The 1960s, Blackman Practised Judo At The Famous Budokwai Dojo. This Helped Her Prepare For Her Roles as Pussy Galore In Goldfinger And Cathy Gale In The Avengers. She Was The First Of Two “Bond Girls” Who Were Older Than The Actor Playing James Bond (The Other Being Her The Avengers Successor Diana Rigg) And, At 39, The Oldest Actress To Play A Bond Girl
Tania Mallet She Got The Part Of Tilly Masterson (1964 Goldfinger) When Someone Sent A Photo Of Her In A Bikini To Bond Producer Cubby Broccoli. The Character Was Killed Off During The Film When Oddjob (Harold Sakata) Hurled His Steel Rimmed Hat At Her. Tania Mallet Grabbed Broccoli’s Attention Before Goldfinger: She Was Tested For The Lead Bond Girl Role, Tatiana Romanova In From Russia with Love. Even Though Her Mother Is Russian, Mallet Did Not Get The Russian Role Supposedly Because Of Her Provincial British Accent. This Is Ironic However Considering That The Italian Actress Daniela Bianchi, Who Eventually Played Tatiana, Had Her Voice Redubbed Anyway
