Lot #1 UK Aston Martin DVLA Poster 2001 (12″ x 24″ / 30.5 x 61cm) The Poster Was Created As Part Of An Advertising Campaign By The UK Driver And Vehicle Licensing Agency And Depicts The James Bond Aston Martin DB5 Clamped On Westminster Bridge With The Houses of Parliament In The Background. The Purpose Of The Campaign Was To Encourage Toad Users To Pay Their Road Tax

Lot #37 UK Quad Advance Poster For ‘Thunderball’ 1965 (30″ x 40″ / 76 x 102cm) This Is Something Of A ‘Holy Grail’ For Bond Poster Collectors. The Design Features Two Panels Of Poster Illustration On The Left by Frank McCarthy And Two On The Right By Robert McGinnis. The Poster Was Designed With The Intention That It Would Be Cut Into Four Pieces. Very Few Examples Have Survived

Aston Martin Commissioned A Very Limited Number Of These Posters (Thought To Be 200 Only) And These Were Sent To Their Distributors

Following The Two-Year Hiatus Between ‘Thunderball’ and ‘You Only Live Twice’, And The Appearance Of The ‘Casino Royale’ 1967 Spoof, The Poster Delivers An Emphatic Message: ‘Sean Connery Is James BOND’. Advance Posters Like This Were Printed In Very Small Quantities Only

Lot #306 US Door Panel Set For ‘Thunderball’ 1965 (Each 20″ x 60″ / 50.8 x 152.3cm) The Marketing Campaign For The Film Featured The Refrain ‘Look Up!’, ‘Look Down!’ And ‘Look Out!’ With The Word ‘Look’ Cleverly Customised With The ‘007’ Logo. The First Three Posters In The Set Feature Photographic Images Of Different Bond Girls Underneath Each Slogan. The Fourth Poster Reprises The Robert McGinnis Poster Illustration Of Bond With The Film Details Below. As Each Poster Was Designed To Be Displayed With The Others And Only The Largest Display Areas Were Suitable. Relatively Few Cinemas Could Display These Sets And Few Were Produced
